SmileCare Family Dentistry has been a major provider of quality dental care to families in California since 1977. During 1997 a significant investment into SmileCare was made by Liberty Partners, an investment firm located in New York, providing up to $100 million to SmileCare to support the Company's mission of becoming the preeminent dental provider in California and beyond.
SmileCare currently owns and operates 56 multi-specialty dental centers throughout California, 5 multi-specialty dental centers located in Las Vegas and 1 multi-specialty dental center in Texas employing over 1200 associates (professional, clinical support and administrative staff). Each month approximately 40,000 people visit our offices, and more than 12,000 new patients choose SmileCare as their new dentist every month! We provided over 2,000,000 dental services to our patients last year!
In addition, through its Community Dental Services division ("CDS") the Company provides dental services to more than 300,000 people enrolled under various managed care programs (commercial group, individual and state-sponsored plans).
